We are also taking suggestions on strollers

Do you REALLY need all the gadgets? Do people REALLY use those trio things? Are the extra big wheels REALLY worth it?

I want the straight dope. Bring it on.

  1. Nope, the gadgets are not necessary (although some may be fun!). The gadget we were most excited about and yet abandoned in about a week was the diaper-wipe warmer. You stick the stack of wipes in this little warm box and they are supposed to not be as shocking to little tushies. Well, all it did was dry out the stack of wipes little tush had scratchy wipes instead of cold.

We did though, have multiple strollers. The "big" one ie the sturdy one, I kept at home for walks around town etc. We could fold it up if need be and it was nice for bigger trips out, but I liked the little umbrella strollers that folder easier. We kept one in each car.

Our main stroller was not the high-tech one you see now...all the wheels were the same size!

  2. Agreed. With baby # 2, we didn't even use the changing table. Plop the kid right on the floor.as for the stroller - I know you will want to run/walk with Sugar, find a jogging stroller. You won't be disapponted.

  3. Oh, and find one of those chairs that vibrates. I haven't found a parent who wouldn't have braved a western new York winter storm to buy a replacement if theirs broke.
